Huzzah! That settles it: I'll organise a cloth pad sewing workshop for perhaps week 3 of semester two? We can discuss it at our next WAC meeting (I have patterns! And have some of these available in the women's room, together with a sample cloth pad and a Keeper(R) cup).
Yes, there is such a wealth of information out there on soooo many alternatives to the commercial disposable optins, I've spent ages this year and still haven't compiled a full document on pros and cons, comparisions, explanations, providers, local suppliers and how to make your own (but stay tuned, I will absolutely be posting this before the year is up - hopefully before Semester Two starts - in a subboard in the Bleeding Is NOT A 'Luxury' section of this forum... it's going to be fully massive!!
(I must say - I prefer Lunette(c) cups to reusable tampons myself - much simpler if you're going out - but everyone is different and I believe all women have the absolute right to know about everything that's out there in terms of menstrual hygiene products and DYI. Why oh why did no one tell me about this in sex-ed/'growing up and self development' classes back in my primary days??)

Hey EK! Just wanted to say I've read the first issue, and it's great! The positive nature of it and the way it approached periods were amazing. So refreshing to see. Great find.

Thanks! I really like it, too Hopefully this little publication will gain readers and contributers and continue because I agree, it is refreshingly positive and practical.
