Campaign For Women's Reproductive Rights
Want to get involved? Here's what's going on this week... Thursday 22nd of April, 6.00 pm - Help plan Victoria’s contingent to a national rally for abortion rights, 29 May in SydneyBe part of the first-ever national abortion rights rally, to be held in Sydney on May 29. On that weekend, the Right to Life is holding its international conference. This is a chance for the majority who believe in a woman’s right to choose to call for free, safe accessible abortion on demand in all states and territories. As part of this, the rally will show solidarity with the Queensland campaign to drop the charges against the Cairns couple and decriminalise abortion in that state. Location: Solidarity Salon, 580 Sydney Road, BrunswickFor more information, contact Campaign for Women’s Reproductive Rights: cwrr.solidarity@hotmail.com or phone 03-9388-0062 Saturday, 24 April, 10.00 am - Defend the Fertility Control ClinicThis clinic is a regular target of anti-abortion fanatics who harass clinic staff, women using the service and even passers-by. Anti-choice forces are trying to undermine Victoria's decriminalisation of abortion, and harassment is one of their methods. Join the pro-choice activists who each month defend the clinic from a group of religious zealots. Fertility Control Clinic, 118 Wellington Parade, East MelbourneFor more information, contact radicalwomen@optusnet.com.au or call 03-9388-0062. Check out RW’s website: www.radicalwomen.org.au
