Exclamation: OMG, the Monash Student Association Women's Department sounds fully amazing!(and it is!) Question: How can women get involved? Answer: in a variety of ways! Here's how:• Sign up to the eBulletin and find out about our events! You can do this by emailing one of your 2010 Women's Officers, Erica.Chan@adm.monash.edu.au or Emilykate.Cowan@adm.monash.edu.au • Spend time in the Women’s Room – bring some female friends, chill, do some studying, read some of our books, write in the log book, help yourself to some coffee and microwave your lunch… • Sign up and express yourself on our online forum – you're reading it right now! Also, you can post questions, articles and share things you've read, etc... • Come along to WAC meetings! That's where we decide what campaigns to run, which speakers to ask, organise things. If there's something you'd love to see the Department do, this is the best place to make it happen. There's also the Publicity Sub Collective, so you can tell your friends about what's going on. • Post suggestions anonymously – use the Anonymous Suggestions box! This is the blue box, located in the Women's Room, next to the stereo on the kitchenette. • Join the (yes, you guessed it!) Facebook group: search for "Monash Women’s Department".
I first got involved back in my first year (which, um, was a while ago now!) when one of the Environment and Social Justice Officers told me, quite out of the blue, that the Women's Room existed - and I'm thankful that he did! How did you first get active within the MSA Women's Department?
Maybe it was even this online forum? Let me know...
